Green Bean Casserole

There are two kinds of people that host Thanksgiving. The first have already been to all the grocery stores, assigned what each guest should bring, and made a detailed schedule of the events, cooking, and feasting so that everything runs smoothly. The second type of people are waiting till the Wednesday before to get everything figured out. LOL! Which one are you??

Or maybe you’re somewhere in the middle?

With Thanksgiving just a little over a week away, here is our second scrumptious side dish to add to your Thanksgiving menu!

Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients—

2 14.5 oz Cans of French Style Green Beans

1 10.5 oz Can Cream of Mushroom Soup

¾ Cup Milk

Salt and Pepper to Taste

1 tsp. Smoked Paprika

½ tsp. Garlic Powder

1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

4 Slices Cooked Bacon, Crumbled

1.5 Cups French Fried Onions

**This recipe is incredibly easy to double! If you decide your crowd need more green beans, we recommend adding a can of Cream of Celery instead of a second can of Cream of Mushroom. Trust us! You’ll thank us later.

Directions—

Step #1—

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add soup, milk, and spices to a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine.

Step #2—

Drain green beans, add them to the soup mixture. Stir until combined.

Step #3—

Mix in chopped bacon, ¾ cup cheese, and half the French-fried onions. Once everything is combined, pour mixture into a greased baking dish.

Step #4—

Bake for 25 minutes. Sprinkle remaining French-fried opinions and cheese all over the top. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and French-fried onions are browned (but not burned). Serve alongside your delicious turkey, remember all the best parts of Thanksgiving growing up, sigh in happiness, repeat until you have to unbutton the top button of your pants.
