Human Resources Intern

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee Staff

    • Recruiting

    • Interviewing

    • Hiring

    • Onboarding

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Maintain employee files.

  • Performance management

    • Provide guidance and feedback to staff.

    • Assess training needs.

  • Manage employment verifications

  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring to resolution in a timely manner

  • May complete additional tasks as assigned by general manager as deemed appropriate for business needs.

  • Work collaboratively with other members of management.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time as needed

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Ability to make repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, etc

Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Flexibility to complete tasks that may not be in the job description

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong time management skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Effective problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of HR systems and processes

  • Previous administration experience preferred

  • 18 years of age or older
