Happy Thanksgiving from the Nelsons!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow? November has just flown by. And now the holidays are upon us, and we can’t seem to stop smiling from ear to ear with anticipation. Not just for tomorrow, but for all the festivities yet to come this season.
We just got back from an end-of-the-season family trip to Yellowstone National Park where we rested after a wonderful, but hectic season on the Farm, marveled at the sheer glory of God displayed all around us, and reconnected as a family. We had the best time. And our hearts are so soft for this Thanksgiving season and all we have to be grateful for after such a much-needed break.
But at the center of counting our blessings is you. We are so very thankful for the way you have supported and shared our Farm and Produce Stands. We could not do what we do without you, your many visits to our home, and the way you consistently share your good experiences with your friends and family. Thank you for making 2021 another record year for us. We sincerely can’t wait to welcome you back in the new year.
But first, we hope you enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday! Some of my (Pam’s) favorite childhood memories are from this holiday. We’d gather as a big family, grandparents, aunts and uncles, all the cousins, and just enjoy spending time together. The older women would prepare the food and then my sisters and I, along with our cousins, would clean up and do the dishes. It sounds like a chore, but the laughter, good times and intention of the task made up some of my most special memories of being together as a family. It’s a tradition I can’t wait to lovingly pass along to my own girls.
What are some of your family traditions? What are you passing onto the next generation?
Have a wonderful, happy, blessed, and safe Thanksgiving!
