Stands are OPEN!!!
Our Roadside Produce Stands opened Thursday! We were blown away by the community support and excitement for fresh produce. It was so great to see everyone face to face again! What a wonderful way to start our season.
This winter seemed extra-long for some reason. And I know we’re all tired of internationally imported fruits and veggies that have been picked too early and sat in shipping containers for way too long. Bring on all the local produce please!
We’re starting off this season with a bang! And while we do ship some of our produce up from the southern states, we’ve worked tirelessly over the last ten years to make sure we’re bringing the best, ripest, juiciest fruits and veggies we can find from farms we trust and respect—family farms, just like ours.
Our peaches are from one of our favorite Georgia farms, Lane Orchard. And they’re saying this is the best crop of peaches they’ve had in years. Aren’t you excited to grab some for you and your family! We love to eat them fresh, over the sink of course, so we don’t make a mess. But they’re also so good sugared with ice cream. Or grilled and finished with a little homemade whipped cream.
Our watermelon and cantaloupes are also an exceptional crop this year. We’ve partnered with farms in Texas to bring you an excellent selection. Our Black Diamonds will be ready by mid-June, but you will not be disappointed while you wait! Try either melon just the way they are. Or dice them up and add them to a salad with feta cheese, tomatoes, and balsamic dressing.
Finally, straight from our farm, we have cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, and yellow squash! Plus, at our I Street location, we have coolers full of bacon, brats, and ground beef. Did we just plan your meals for the week? Or at least your holiday weekend BBQ, right?
Come out and see us! Produce stands are open Monday-Saturday 8:00am-7:00pm and on Sunday from 9:00am-6:00pm. They’re located in Elkhorn at 204th and Wirt Street, right next to Dairy Chef. Or in Millard at 120th and I street, on the southeast corner.
